Volunteer: Children's Summer Reading Game TrainingIn order for volunteers to register for shifts helping out with the Children's Summer Reading game, they MUST attend one of these training sessions. After they attend a training session, they will be added to the Summer Reading Game Volunteer list and will be eligible to sign up for shifts. This year, we will be using Beanstack to track participants reading in addition to our usual paper reading logs. Volunteers will need to help the children to submit their logs and claim their prizes. They will need to learn how to log into Beanstack to track the prizes and track reading progress. One of our most common questions at the Help Desk is from patrons who need assistance with the public printer. You can sign up for this orientation if you would like to become a Printer Specialist. Once you have done your training, you will be added to a Printer Specialist user group and will be able to sign up for shifts helping patrons with the printer.
